Trending with the Latest ESL Updates through #RAREJOBWORKSHOP2015

As the demand in the ESL industry is continuously growing and trends and practices are starting to change, it is necessary for anyone in this industry to prepare and train to assure that they are able to provide quality lessons to their students. With this, RareJob has started a new opportunity for tutors to learn ways on how to adapt and prepare better for their lessons. In the last few months of 2015, RareJob conducted five workshops in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. This workshop series was entitled RareJob Workshop: Building Stronger Foundations.

The RareJob workshops were held in the following dates and locations:

Manila – September 19, 2015
Cebu – September 26, 2015
Davao – October 17, 2015
Quezon City – November 8, 2015
Baguio – November 14, 2015

Icebreaker Activity Presentations

During the workshop, tutors got a chance to get to know their strengths, exchange lesson tips with RareJob staff and co-tutors and even showcase their talents through the activities prepared for them. The tutors’ presentations really brought out the creativity in each of the attendees. Some of these presentations include a Tai Chi exercise in Cebu and a song composition in Davao.

‘What Should You Do?’ Activity Group Discussions

Aside from learning tips on how to provide better RareJob lessons, the tutor attendees also got a chance to meet and mingle with neighboring tutors. All attendees of the event were residing within the cities where the workshops were held to strengthen the community between tutors in each locality.

Problem Solving Activity with Tomohisa Kato

As RareJob aims to equip tutors for the constantly changing needs of the ESL Teaching Industry, the Problem Solving method was introduced to the tutor attendees. The main highlight of the workshop was the Problem Solving activity facilitated by RareJob CEO, Tomohisa Kato. Given an issue, tutors were challenged to think critically and decide on a solution agreed by members of their assigned groups. Through this method, tutors were given a more objective approach on how they can find ways on solving issues related to tutoring.

Awarding of Prizes and Certificates

As the program came to an end, RareJob took the opportunity to recognize outstanding tutors during the workshops. Most Valuable Players (MVP), Early Birds and Activity winners received RareJob Merchandise and other prizes. All the attendees also received Certificates of Participation for their support and active involvement.

The RareJob Ambassador Program, 24TH Tutor Gathering and the 2015 RareJob Workshop Series are just few of the many opportunities RareJob has set for all tutors around the Philippines. For tutors who wish to continue growing and learning while teaching in RareJob, be excited as RareJob prepares another thrilling workshop series this 2016.
